Uses
Fioricet is a combination of butalbital (a barbiturate) which relaxes muscle contractions involved in a tension headache, acetaminophen (a pain reliever and fever reducer), and caffeine (a central nervous system stimulant) which relaxes muscle contractions in blood vessels to improve blood flow. This is similar to Cyclobenzaprine and Methocarbamol, both a muscle relaxant used to relieve skeletal muscle spasms.
Fioticet Tablets (Buta Apap Caff) is commonly used to treat migraines and pain related ailments. (Pain and inflammation may also be dealt with Celebrex.) Also known as Fioricet, this drug is indicated to treat tension headaches, muscle contraction headaches and post-dural puncture headaches.
